Elizabeth and Bill celebrated their wedding day on Saturday at the lovely Beachmere Inn in Ogunquit, Maine. As a photographer, I swooned at the property because of its awesome portrait opportunities – and cringed at the blue skies and bright sun, but the clouds rolled in beautifully and right on que – just in time for some family portraits on the lawn and more portraits of Elizabeth and Bill out on the rocks (yay, no squinting!). The couple planned the entire wedding from their home in Georgia where they live, Bill’s family being from Wells is what drew them to the coast of Maine with their perfectly adorable 1 year old daughter and Bill’s son as well. They hosted 60 or so of their closest family and friends at the Beachmere, a truly intimate ceremony overlooking the blue ocean, followed by the reception which was held in the main building. They really take care of everything you need at the Beachmere, from spacious guest rooms, to manicured lawns and an on-site spa, to delicious food and a very friendly and helpful staff. They thought of everything and were there attending to what Elizabeth and Bill needed – as well as myself, which is really a treat! After dinner the guests busted a move to great music by Jonathan Lorentz – there were a handful of incredible dancers who were happy to take it all in; sometimes at receptions the dancing is so great it makes me want to jump in too! There were two little ones who were both 16 months old having the time of their lives eating and dancing along with everyone else. It’s so fun to watch kids at weddings! Bill and Elizabeth rounded off the night with some Jimmy Buffet music which everyone loved! I will be photographing at the Beachmere Inn again at the end of September and I can’t wait!
